From the Idaho Secretary of State election calendar for the November 3, 2026 election. The calendar URL below is the page that opened from the Secretary of State election-calendars address.
- October 13, 2026: Early voting may begin, in counties that choose to conduct early voting.
- October 23, 2026, 5:00 p.m.: Absentee ballot applications must be received by the county clerk. Voter registrations must also be received by the county clerk by 5:00 p.m. local time. The calendar calls that registration cutoff the preregistration deadline.
- October 29, 2026: County clerks may receive emergency absentee ballot applications through 5:00 p.m. on November 2 from people who cannot vote because of hospitalization, if the hospitalization began after 5:00 p.m. on October 23.
- October 30, 2026: Early voting ends.
- November 3, 2026: Election Day. Polling places and the county clerk's office are open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Qualified people may register and vote at their polling place that day. Voted absentee ballots must be received by the county clerk by 8:00 p.m.
- November 24, 2026: Deadline for the state board of canvassers to meet and canvass the general election.

- September 24, 2026: Early voting begins. This is also the first day the election authority mails an official ballot to someone who applied to vote by mail.
- October 6, 2026: Close of regular voter registration.
- October 7, 2026: Grace-period registration and voting begins.
- October 18, 2026: Close of online voter registration.
- October 29, 2026: Last day for the election authority to receive a vote-by-mail application by mail and still mail the ballot. In-person applications are accepted until November 2, 2026.

- October 5, 2026: Voter registration ends. The deadline is the voter registration office close of business to apply in person, or midnight to submit a registration online at indianavoters.com.
- October 6, 2026: First day a voter may early vote in the office of the circuit court clerk or a satellite office.
- October 22, 2026, 11:59 p.m.: Deadline for the circuit court clerk to receive an absentee ballot application requesting delivery of a ballot by mail, or an application from a voter with print disabilities who asks to vote by mail, fax, or email.
- November 3, 2026: General Election Day. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., local time.

- October 27, 2026: Advance in-person voting must begin for all counties.
