Important voting dates

From the Kansas Secretary of State 2026 general election dates. The HTML page lists the same October dates. The PDF is the one that labels November 3 as the general election.

  • October 13, 2026: Deadline to register to vote, or to update a registration to change address or name only, for the 2026 general election.
  • October 14, 2026: First day of advance voting. Advance ballots by mail are transmitted. In-person advance voting may begin. Check the county election office for times and locations.
  • October 27, 2026: Advance in-person voting must begin for all counties.
  • November 3, 2026: General Election. The Secretary of State PDF says all mail ballots must be received on Election Day. It marks that rule as new in 2026.
  • December 1, 2026: Last day for the State Board of Canvassers to certify official results.
